One hundred fifty leading food editor’s, journalists and industry luminaries were asked in an e-mail and direct mail survey a series of questions to determine “top tier” and “second tier” schools. Respondents were offered an incentive of optional entry into a sweepstakes for two free tickets to Paris (first prize) and a $500 scholarship donation to the IACP Culinary Trust in their name (second prize)

Top 10 Culinary SchoolsBased on their responses we have determined the top 10 rated schools in the USA and Canada. To which we have added the next 30 largest cooking schools based on enrollment. We have then compared the 10 leading schools across 15 separate criteria in our various Editor's Comparisons based on our choice of criteria.
