Founded in 1987, the Connecticut Culinary Institute is a private school accredited by the ACCSCT and the Connecticut Commission of Higher Education. It offers a diploma from its Advanced Culinary Arts Program, as well as a Professional Pastry & Baking Program. The faculty includes 24 full time chefs who each have approximately 10 years of professional experience. Their backgrounds include a number of awards and honors. Entrance requirements comprise a high school diploma, or GED or ATB test given by an independent agency. In addition, applicants must complete a program evaluation test and personal interview. Both scholarships and student loans are available to qualified individuals. The main campus is located in Farmington, Connecticut.
