Find the Culinary School that's right for youSM

It began 25 years ago as a small cooking school offering a professional degree in the culinary arts. In 2004 NECI was named Best Professional Cooking School by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. Whether you envision a job as a chef, a food and beverage manager, a pastry chef, a food writer or many other food-oriented positions, New England Culinary Institute can give you the hands-on cooking experience and education you need and a professional degree that can help open doors. Degrees in culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, and food and beverage management are available.

Located in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in an area of great natural beauty. NECI's goal is to train you to have the hands of an artisan, the eyes of an artist, the mind of an entrepreneur, and the knowledge, skills and real-world experience to be successful. Cooking classes are small and intense, and the unusual student to teacher ratio (an average 7:1 student/teacher ratio in production classes with a maximum of 10) means your instructors can give you personal attention.
